Email Sessions

An email session is a way to receive information from Freea quickly. Especially important when a pressing issue comes up for you and you need answers fast. This type of session allows you to obtain valuable expedited information without having to wait for an actual appointment to be scheduled.
These sessions are brief, but to the point. They should not be considered a substitute for an actual consultation.

Preparation for your session

Be prepared with a specific question or topic you would like to discuss. Viewing my “About” page, which list many of the popular topics I discuss with artist during consultations and workshops may assist you with preparing your question. But remember to narrow it down.

How Does this work?

Email me one question that is at the forefront of your artistic life and business. This may be a question about an upcoming event, a grant proposal you are writing, or a question about pricing your art work or some other topic entirely.

It should be a clear and concise question that is not too broad. I will email you back with suggestions on how to narrow your question if it is too broad. A personal consult or workshop may give you more insight about the topic, but if an issue is pressing and making you feel stuck, uncomfortable and unable to move forward, immediate advice can help you move past this point until you get the more detailed advice you need. I may send you valuable resources as well that apply to your question or topic.

The cost is $39.00 for a one to two paragraph emailed response. The turn around time is ~ 48-72 hours, not including weekends, all holidays or a couple of times a year when I may be away on vacation. You will be notified if I am on vacation about the turnaround time and I will post the vacation dates here so you will know before purchasing. More time may be required if the question is not clear and concise initially, so do your best to narrow it down before sending your inquiry.

Examples of clear concise vs. broad questions:

Clear: I am currently writing a grant proposal for the Marin Arts Council are there any specific things that I can do to ensure a better chance of being awarded a grant from them?

Broad: How can I get a grant for my business? –While this is a good question too, this might be a better question for a personal consult.

Clear: I am participating in the Palo Alto Clay and Glass show and I am wondering, "what are some good strategies to get the maximum amount of people into my booth at the show, in other words, more foot traffic funneled into my booth?" It seems like at some shows, people walk right by sometimes without even noticing my booth, since there are so many booths and so many things to look at.

Broad: I want more people to notice my art, where is a good place to start?

Clear: I am designing a postcard for my business. How can I write the text and design the card to make it most effective?

Broad: I need new marketing techniques for my business, what is the best way to go?

Clear: I am thinking about using twitter and facebook as well as designing a blog for my business to help direct traffic to my website, what is the best way to get started with this?

Broad: I need more traffic to my website, any suggestion? Again, great question, but the more you can narrow it for me, the better I can help you!

Remember: Don’t write a book though. Limit your question to a couple of sentences, like the ones above. This will help keep it focused. And all questions are “good questions” Don’t be shy. I can help you narrow it down if you need assistance.
